Geoje Island is the second largest island in South Korea and is situated at the centre of the southern coast of Gyeongnam province.

Well known for its tourist & seafood industry as well as the world's 2nd & 3rd largest shipyard / offshore fabrication yards (Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Ulsan being the largest):

Another major tourist attraction, especially to foreigners is the Okpo Bars district with close to 100 bars within a kilometer radius of each other - making it easy to enjoy a Friday night pub crawl.

While visiting Geoje Island you have a variety of accommodation to choose from such as Hotels, Motels & Pensions.  It is a very family friendly place with a large variety of entertainment such as performances at the Geoje Art Centre as well as hobbies, classes, clubs and festivals.

Geoje Island is connected via the 'Geoje Grand Bridge' to Tongyeoung and also via the recently completed 'Busan - Geoje fixed link' bridge/tunnel highway network which connects to the country's 2nd largest city Busan, on the South East Coast.  Real-time traffic monitoring of this new highway network is available here.

There are a number of high-speed ferries that link to the mainland as well as Japan and it is also possible to visit a large variety of surrounding Asian countries via a short flight from Busan Gimhae airport.
